This site, intended for patients, their parents and health professionals, aims to make IRF known as well as to provide users with a series of information concerning intensive therapy (HABIT-ILE), training in this field and possibilities for external scoring/ assessments.
Creation
The intensive rehabilitation foundation (IRF) is a private foundation created in 2011 under the leadership of Prof. Yannick Bleyenheuft, with the support of Geraldine Van Outryve of Ydewalle and Anne Jaspers, co-founders.
Goals
The objectives are to promote:
The development of intensive rehabilitation for patients with neurological pathologies in Belgium;
The scientific validation of this type of therapy;
The creation of a university bridge for its teaching and dissemination;
The development of intensive rehabilitation for countries in Europe where it does not yet exist, its dissemination in developing countries.
